Luxi Zhou, PhD, CFA, Meteorologist
Dr. Zhou’s work at Peak Re focuses on climate research and innovation that directly support underwriting practice and portfolio strategy. Before joining Peak Re, Dr. Zhou worked for Swiss Re and Verisk on catastrophe risk analytics, taking key responsibilities in model development work for perils including tropical cyclone, wildfire, and earthquake. Prior to her industry career, Dr. Zhou led multiple numeric climate model development projects at various government research institutes across US, China, and Finland. Dr. Zhou is a recipient of the prestigious National Research Council Associateship Award by the US National Academy of Sciences.
