Karl-Heinz Jung is Co-Founder of Kacalyst Partners and brings over 35 years of leadership experience across Europe and Asia with senior executive roles at Allianz and Munich Re Group. Based in Singapore since 2009, he has led the restructuring of insurance and reinsurance companies.
From 2017 to 2023, Karl served as CEO of ERGO Insurance, the primary insurance carrier of Munich Re. Prior to this, he held leadership positions at Asia Capital Re, Allianz Reinsurance (Singapore), the Allianz Office for Asia, Allianz Insurance (Singapore), and Allianz Partners.
A hands-on practitioner, Karl specializes in underwriting, distribution, finance, and insurtech applications. He actively collaborates with select technology companies on embedded insurance, distribution, and automation initiatives.
Since 2025, he serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Partner Re Asia.
Karl holds a diploma in Agricultural Engineering from Hohenheim University (Germany) and an MBA in Financial Services from Sankt Gallen.
