Sythan has a strong passion about the vital role of financial planning and life insurance for families and economy. He is driven, people-centered and results-focused and has led Forte Life to be #1 in terms of the customer base and protection products. With an omni distribution strategy, Forte Life continues to expand its Bancassurance, improve Agency quality and increase sales from Direct and Brokerage business. Between 2023 and 2024, Forte Life has secured and rolled out four bancassurance partnership positioning itself as a partnership-led company. He sits in the Board of the Insurance Association of Cambodia and chaired the Education Committee (2021-2023) of the Association.
Before Forte Life, he was the Chief Partnership Distribution of Manulife Cambodia. He is a pioneer of the life insurance and the first local C-suite in the sector (Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, Manulife Cambodia). He is active in Asia insurance and academic communities through his frequent international speaking engagement and publication. He has advised the Cambodian government on investment, insurance, aviation and law. He received multiple prestigious awards for his outstanding career in insurance, leadership and law. He has two separate Master of Laws degrees from King’s College London and Yokohama National University.
