Lapman combines his academic role as a Professor of Practice in ESG, FinTech/ InsurTech, Governance at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with his advisory role as a managing director at Triniton Advisors where he advises insurers and listed companies on governance, risk, compliance (GRC), FinTech/ InsurTech, and sustainability.

Prior to his current role, Lapman was a FinTech & Innovation and GRC (governance, risk, compliance) partner at Deloitte. 

He was appointed to the HKMA-HKIMR council of advisors for applied research which includes CEOs of regulators like the insurance authority. Lapman sits on the Insurance Authority Future Task Force for policy & regulation, talent, technology.

Lapman also chairs the ESG Committee of the Dutch Chamber where he sits on the Board.
