Eddie Lau is the Head of Operations & Strategy of Asia Pacific region for RGAX, the transformation engine of the Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA). At RGAX, Eddie leads the strategy planning for insurtech initiatives and works with the local RGA businesses in Asia to
develop and grow their client portfolios by integrating digital innovations to reinsurance offerings. Eddie brings more than 15 years of experience in consulting, innovation, and risk management, with exposures to banks, insurers, and reinsurers across Asia and the U.S. Before joining RGA, Eddie was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company, based in New York. There, he led and executed strategic projects for global clients in multiple disciplines, including corporate strategy, risk management, data analytics, and operations. Eddie graduated from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with a Master of Business Administration degree, and from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in actuarial science. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
